Zinedine Zidane Considering A Top Managerial Role In England

Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti (R) watches his assistant Zinedine Zidane shout at their players during their Champions League final soccer match against Atletico Madrid at Luz stadium in Lisbon, May 24, 2014.

Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane is reportedly considering a top coaching job in the Premier League. The 42-year-old Frenchman is currently in charge of Real Madrid’s B team, having previously been Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team assistant last season and has revealed his desire to take up a managerial role in England, according to talkSPORT, via Canal+.

“The future is certainly to be able to do something else and to be able to take the reins of a team,” Zidane told reporters.

“But I will first think of this season, finish it well, get promoted because that is the aim of the team, to ascend to the second division. Next year we will see.

“As a player I was not tempted by England, but as a manager why not? It is a league where the English type of manager has most of the power, and that would please me.
