
EA Sports, the world-famous sports video game developer and publisher, is making history in Africa with its upcoming FIFA23 Invitational Qualifiers competition in Lagos, Nigeria.
On Saturday, the Unilag Sports Center at the University of Lagos will host the first-ever licensed show from EA Sports in Africa.
With a growing gaming community, over 200 Nigerians are expected to compete in the winner-takes-all battle for a whopping $10,000 (over N7 million) cash prize.
The FIFA23 football invitational will feature a total of 256 players in a four-round knockout format, with four minutes allocated for each half and an additional four for tactics, substitutions, and penalties (when possible).
The invitational is to find eight players who will advance to the final slated for Jul 8, 2023.
