The Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) have urged its members to acquaint themselves with the latest technologies in the discharge of the duties on the pitch.
Speaking during the opening session of the Pre-Season fitness test for National League, Nationwide and Women leagues referees at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode in Ogun State, President of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, Otunba Tade Azeez said that for any referee to be involved in the activities of the association and other training programs of the NFF Referees Committee, there should be a serious commitment to the latest technical mode of training.
The president in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kelechi Mejuob said that international football bodies like FIFA and CAF have remodelled training programs due to the pandemic.
The NRA boss further revealed that considering discussion with the NFF on the practice of VAR, all members are expected to not only understand the technological know-how of the VAR but be ready to be called upon for the practice.
Azeez further asked the referees to continue respecting the protocols involved and safety measures whether on refereeing duty or on personal engagements to survive the deadly disease.
Azeez who represented the NFF Referees Committee chairman, accompanied by the Head of Refereeing Unit and Deputy President of NRA, Hon Sani Zubairu, alongside other NFF Referees Committee members and NRA leadership declared the event open for states from Abia, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi and Imo states taking part for the Day One of the one week exercise.havebe confronted withMore (Definitions, Synonyms, Translation)
