In the 73rd minute, Nelson Esor doubled the lead for the home team after benefiting from GK Danlami Umar’s failure to deal with Bakary Bamba’s free-kick to score.

Nasarawa had their best chance in the 79th minute to pull a goal back as Silas Nwankwo was through on goal but with only the goalkeeper to beat, he fired over under pressure from Ifeanyi Anaemena.

With this victory, Rivers United have maintained their 100% home record against the Solid Miners.
