Dakkada FC have secured their 13th league victory in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League season following a 2-0 victory over Kwara United in the remaining Match Day 30 fixtures.
The home side had the first real chance of the game when Musa Bashiru’s header from Isaac George’s cross was inches away from breaking the deadlock in the 25th minute.
Again, the hosts in the 30th minute forced former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba to make a save at a full stretch to keep Isaac’s 30-yard freekick out.
In the final minutes of the first half, Dakkada got the opening goal through Godwin Inamoto who capitalized on the defensive error from the visitors.
At the restart of the second half, the home side continued to search for the insurance goal and had aguishly missed some clear-cut chances.
However, Emmanuel Charles headed home Unwana Asuquo’s cross to double his side’s lead in the 85th minute to extinguish any come back from Kwara United.
Despite the loss, Kwara United who have played a game less remains 6th on the log table with 49 points while Dakkada moved to up to 10th position with 43 points.
