Nigeria wallops Sao Tome and Principe 10-0

Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated São Tomé and Principe in their second group A encounter on Monday afternoon at the Stade Adrar Agadir in Morocco.

In what was the first-ever encounter between the two teams, the Super Eagles, who were in full flow, put 10 goals past their opponent.

Victor Osimhen put the visitors on the board in the ninth minute, and Moses Simon made it 2-0 for Nigeria nine minutes later.

São Tomé and Principe were able to hold their own against the three-time African champions despite falling badly behind in the first half, although they conceded the third two minutes before the break. Terem Moffi is in charge of that.

The Super Eagles became wild in the 2nd half with Victor Osimhen starting the charge again with his 2nd of the game and Nigeria’s 4th in the 48th minute.

Ogenekharo Etebo made it 5-0 from a direct freekick in the 55th minute, the first for Nigeria will score in a while.

Terem Moffi bagged his brace of the afternoon on the hour mark and three minutes later Ademola Lookman scored his first international goal for Nigeria.
