With Kwara United as their opponent in the Round of 16 of the 2023 Federation Cup, Nasarawa United now has the chance to finish the year well.
In order to pick a quarterfinal ticket, the Solid Miners, who were demoted from the Nigeria Premier Football League by their opponents, would seek retribution.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Federation Cup’s round of matches will be decided on May 24 and that eight of those matches would be played at six different locations.
The 2023 campaign will crown a new champion after giants like Enyimba, the reigning champions Bayelsa United, Akwa United, and Shooting Stars were eliminated.
Former champions Heartland, Bendel Insurance, Lobi Stars, Plateau United and Rangers will on their part, be hoping to add another cup to their cabinet.
In the same vein, the quarterfinals stage of the Women’s Federation Cup will see eight teams attempt to proceed to the semi-finals of the 2023 edition of the competition and go two steps closer to being Nigeria’s ultimate champions.
According to the NFF, the quarterfinals of the women’s cup are expected to hold on Thursday, May 11.
Meanwhile, after having been granted bypasses in earlier stages of the competition due to an uneven number of teams, defending champions Bayelsa Queens will finally play their first match in the competition.
