Reigning Italian Serie A champion, Napoli has rejected a whooping N113,428,715,789 billion offer from a Saudi club for Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
It will be recalled that on Monday that the Saudi Pro League club made a bid of around €140 million for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen while offering a weekly pay package of €1 million.
Il Mattino (via TMW) reported about the situation of the 24-year-old, who seems set to sign a new deal with Napoli.
It is stated on Sunday that Osimhen is indeed close to signing a new contract and Aurelio de Laurentiis will not sell him this summer.
Al Hilal’s interest from the Middle East is rather firm and the club offered €130 million to Napoli and De Laurentiis for Osimhen. But it was rejected right away by De Laurentiis, who values his striker at €200 million and that is a figure which is out of reach for even Paris Saint-Germain.
Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea have been monitoring the situation of Osimhen for a while but their moves are now highly unlikely and PSG has been blown out of the water already.
Despite that monumental bid, French outlet L’Equipe, have reported that Napoli have no intention of accepting that offer, considering it inadequate.
The report also states that Napoli are waiting for an even higher sum to be offered but would prefer to keep the 24-year-old in Naples. They hope Osimhen will instead extend his contract after scoring 26 goals in Serie A last season.
