Ahmed Musa desirous to win 2020/21 NPFL with Kano Pillars

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa as again reiterated his desire to win the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for Kano Pillars.

He stated this during an Awards of Excellence ceremony to honour him, Kano Pillars captain Rabi’u Ali, and the Acting Technical Adviser of the club Ibrahim A. Musa.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Ahmed Musa thanked the state house of Assembly for the award while urging the governor to do more in supporting the club as they aim to end the season on a high note.

Musa also said considering the highest number of youths in the state that are passionate about sports there is a need for the Kano state government to have a standard international Stadium and other sporting facilities.

“Since I joined Kano Pillars Fc this season, I have been doing my possible best to see that the players meet their target objective to win the league and I will not relent my efforts in that direction, Musa said.

In the same vein, the Kano State House of Assembly has called on the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to take urgent measures to renovate the Sani Abacha Stadium to enable the state-owned team, Kano Pillars to return and play in.

The Speaker, Engr Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari said the renovation should be done immediately after the coronation ceremony of Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero which will take place on July 3.

Chidari who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Zubairu Hamza Massu at the ceremony said the call had become necessary considering the security and other challenges Kano Pillars face while traveling to Kaduna state to honour their home matches in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League season.

“On behalf of this honourable house we are appealing to kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to immediately after the coronation ceremony of the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero next week to take urgent measures to renovate Sani Abacha stadium in order to return ‘Sai Masu Gida’ back to their home ground,” the speaker emphasized.

The Deputy Speaker was accompanied by the chairman of Sports committee Alhaji Nura Alassan Rano and members representing Dawakin Tofa, Nasarawa and Tarauni local government constituencies during the visit.
