Former Manchester United and Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho is set for a sensational return to the Premier League just after leading Roma to the Europa Conference League.
Mourinho had returned to the Serie A in 2021 after a tumultuous time at Manchester United.
Upon his return to Italy, Mourinho led Roma to back-to-back European finals, winning one of them but the Portuguese is set to leave Rome for England.
It will be recalled that the 60-year-old has had a tough start to the current season which could see him call it time on his stay in Italy per the Sun UK.
In the same vein, there are reports from Spain saying the enigmatic Portuguese manager could replace Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid if the Italian decides to move to Brazil.
According to the report, Mourinho has just 12 months left on his current deal at the club and looks unlikely to extend his stay in Rome beyond next summer.
Roma are expected to usher in a new era at the Stadio Olympico once the former Real Madrid boss calls it quits with the club.
Mourinho’s possible departure could see some players following him but his possible destination in England remains unknown.
Roma are currently seventh on the Serie A table with 14 points from a possible 27. The club has won just four of nine matches this season in the league.
