Defender Leon Balogun is excited after Glasgow Rangers’ victory over bitter rivals Celtic on Saturday in the Old Firm Derby.
The Gers piped Celtic 1-0 at the Ibrox Stadium to move 19 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership log.
Celtic’s Callum McGregor put the ball through his own net in the 70th minute from a corner as he challenged Joe Aribo for a header.
The result continues Rangers’ incredible home record with their 11th consecutive victory, having conceded just once.
Balogun took to his Twitter handle to express his happiness over the victory and also paid tribute to the 66 fans of the club who died on January 2, 1971 at the Ibrox Stadium.
“Great way to start 2021. Also paying tribute to the 66 and their families on this very special day @RangersFC,” Balogun tweeted.
