Jude Bellingham scores again to save Real Madrid's blushes

Real Madrid makes a triumphant return to the Santiago Bernabéu with a thrilling comeback against Getafe with a Jude Bellingham late winner.

Getafe took an early lead, but Joselu’s equalizer and Bellingham’s fifth goal in four games secured the LaLiga leaders their fourth consecutive victory.

Despite Getafe taking the lead after 11 minutes, the game took a turn when Melero López initially awarded a penalty but overturned his decision after VAR intervention.

Madrid started creating clear chances, with Modrić coming close to scoring on the half-hour mark, but Soria’s fingertip save denied them. Just before halftime, Soria made another crucial save to deny Joselu’s close-range shot.

In the second half, Madrid came out strong and equalized early on. Modrić delivered a beautiful cross with the outside of his right foot, and Joselu capitalized on the rebound to make it 1-1.

Ancelotti’s team continued to dominate, with Kroos hitting the post and having another shot saved by Getafe’s keeper.

With Madrid frantically searching for a winner, Bellingham pounced after David Soria spilled Nacho’s shot to secure a fortuitous victory for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The 20-year-old’s first goal at the Bernabeu means he has scored in every game so far this season, and is La Liga’s top scorer with five goals.
