Gareth Southgate has named his squad for England’s upcoming matches against Ukraine and Scotland.
Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire have both been included in the squad. Henderson, who recently joined Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, will be representing England despite his move from Liverpool.
Maguire, despite not featuring for Manchester United this season, has also made the squad. The England team will face Ukraine in a Euro 2024 qualifier on September 9th in Poland, followed by a friendly against Scotland on September 12th to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the fixture.
Eddie Nketiah and Levi Colwill have received their first call-ups to the England squad, while Kalvin Phillips, who hasn’t played for Manchester City this season, has also been included.
Raheem Sterling is absent from the squad for the third consecutive time, and Tyrone Mings, Luke Shaw, and John Stones are out due to injury.
On the other hand, Ben Chilwell and Fikayo Tomori have been recalled, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has been listed as a midfielder after playing in that position in previous matches.
