The sports court of the German football federation (DFB) has imposed a fine of €87,500 ($93,019.50) on Eintracht Frankfurt for unsportsmanlike conduct by their fans in the German Cup.
A third of the amount can be used for investments in security or violence prevention measures, the DFB said on Friday.
Frankfurt fans fired several pyrotechnic objects during their Cup game against Magdeburg on August 1. Some smoke flares fell on the pitch, the DFB said.
Bochum, meanwhile, were fined €63,000 after their fans also used pyrotechnic objects during the Bundesliga game against Schalke on September 10.
