The Brazilian Football Association is reportedly certain that Carlo Ancelotti will be their next permanent manager.
Ancelotti has been repeatedly mentioned as a potential candidate to lead Brazil’s national team coach during the previous few months.
The 64-year-old Italian stated he was excited about the possibility in April and added that he would ‘love to meet’ the president of the Brazilian FA.
Ancelotti announced that he will remain at Real Madrid for the upcoming season earlier this month.
However, the Brazilian FA are confident of getting the Madrid manager and are willing to wait till next year for the Italian to leave Real Madrid.
According to the Brazilian publication Globo, the Brazilian FA believes they have a deal with Ancelotti that would see him take over the next year.
The four-time Champions League winner could take over as manager of Brazil either in January or at the conclusion of his term in July.
According to journalist Luis Roberto of Globo as reported by Daily Mail, Ednaldo Rodrigues, the head of the Brazilian FA, could announce a deal with Ancelotti later this month.
If Ancelotti were to take over in July of next year, Brazil would begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign without a permanent manager because a mid-season move from Real Madrid seems unlikely.
Brazil will begin preparation for the Copa America, which will be held in the United States next summer.
Brazil have always picked Carlo Ancelotti as their number one target to be the manager of the Brazilian team.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Rodrigues acknowledged that Ancelotti was the choice of the team’s players and supporters, and he expressed his own appreciation for the Italian.
At the Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti has worked closely with Brazilian players Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.
Since the departure of Tite following the World Cup in Qatar last year, Brazil has been looking for a new head coach.
The FA has gone on to appoint an interim coach, Ramon Menezes, who has been in charge of the team.
