CAF has launched the African Schools Football Championship trophy design competition, urging young designers to submit their innovative concepts as part of strengthening ties between African schools and students.
The African Schools Football Championship continental phase champions will raise the trophy.
The competition will take place from April 7 to April 9, 2023.
Students and faculty from African art and design schools are welcome to enter. The theme of the trophy is “African Schools Football.”
CAF Director of Member Associations Sarah Mukuna said: “The African Schools Football Championship is not just about football but about CAF using football as a platform to create opportunities for African youth.
“It forms part of CAF President Dr Motsepe’s vision to invest in African Youth.
“Through the African Schools Football Championship trophy design competition, we want to reach out to young African designers to get involved and submit designs.
“We want the trophy to represent the aspirations and dreams of African kids. We are excited about this project and the possibilities.”
