Karim Benzema’s opening goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge has been chosen the 2021/22 Champions League Goal of the Season by UEFA’s technical observers, who selected a list of the top ten goals to be voted on by supporters.
The Real Madrid striker’s shot tops the list, with Vini Jr.’s third goal following a beautiful piece of individual play in the trip to Shakhtar Donetsk coming in second.
Asensio’s thunderous right-footed strike against Inter at the Bernabéu is ranked fifth, while Rodrygo’s attempt against Chelsea at home is ranked eighth.
