These are not the best of times for Senegalese star, Sadio Mane as his club, Bayern Munich have suspended him ahead of Saturday’s league match against Hoffenham amid reports he punched team-mate Leroy Sane.
According to reports in Germany, Mane punched Sane in the face following Manchester City’s 3-0 Champions League defeat at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
Following the altercation, the pair was reportedly separated by teammates.
Bayern Munich has sacked Senegal forward Mane for “misconduct” and stated he would be fined.
According to Bild, former Liverpool player Mane, a two-time African footballer of the year, was upset with the way Germany winger Sane spoke to him following the defeat.
Mane was picked up discreetly at the airport after flying back to Germany, while Sane took the team bus.
Mane and Sane have yet to respond to the alleged altercation.
Bayern will host City in the second leg of their quarter-final next Wednesday.
