Arsenal can still win the Premier League - Arteta

Despite being behind rivals Man City with two games remaining, Mikel Arteta thinks Arsenal can somehow win the Premier League this year.

Brighton trounced the Gunners 3-0 at the Emirates, making it appear as though the north London team couldn’t recover from their missteps.

Arteta will be relying on Chelsea to help the Citizens out since they only need to defeat the Blues this weekend at the Etihad to win the Premier League.

The team of Pep Guardiola has been in excellent form recently, winning 13 straight league games, and they are still enjoying in the glory of eliminating Champions League champion Real Madrid.

With two games remaining, Arsenal has 81 points, whereas City is comfortably ahead with 85 points with three games remaining.

Arteta would need City to lose their upcoming contests against Chelsea, Brighton, and Brentford, which appears to be very impossible.

However, Arteta’s team will need to defeat Wolves and Nottingham Forest in quick succession, which is doable.

The Spanish gaffer said:

“Two games to go and we can still be champions against arguably the best team in the history of the Premier League. We are still there and we’re not going to bottle that, that’s for sure.”
