Adekuoroye won’t return to Nigeria after Olympic – Reports

Top female wrestler, Odunayo Adekuoroye will begin her quest for an Olympic medal in the 57kg weight category on early Wednesday morning

The three-time World championships medallist Adekuoroye will be up against Anastasia Nichita of Moldova in the round of 16 around 4.00am Nigerian time.

​Meanwhile, reports have it that Adekuoroye will not return to Nigeria after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

According to veteran sports journalist, Godwin Enakhena who is a close source to the Wrestler on his program on radio (Top Sports on Top Radio) on Tuesday: “Odunayo Adekuoroye will not return to Nigeria after the Olympics. “She will be going to school in the Americas.”

It was also stated that Odunayo Adekuoroye is an adopted daughter of the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya who has made every necessary arrangement for her to school in the Americas.

Dr. Olukoya shouldered the responsibilities of taking care of the athlete after Godwin Enakhena took her to him. He has been responsible for all her trips, trainings and retraining across the world.

Odunayo Adekuoroye is two times Commonwealth Games Gold medalist, two times bronze medalist in the world championship and once a silver medalist in the same event.

She’s not hidden her love for God and the man who adopted her (Dr. Olukoya) always singing praises to his God every time she’s got the opportunity to do so.
