The board and management of Abia Warriors on Monday distributed palliative items to members of the Supporters club to help cushion the effect of COVID-19 , the SportsBay.com reports.
The club Chairman, Pastor Emeka Inyama while making the presentation on behalf its board members at the Club complex in Umuahia, thanked the Supporters club for their unalloyed support to the club.
“It is very necessary to reach out to them in times like this, they have been amazing and has never ceased rendering their support for the team through thick and thin”
“We the board members had to task ourselves to get this done on behalf of the management and players and I know this gesture will gladden your hearts, it is my earnest prayer that none will be found wanting when the league resumes”
According to a statement on the club’s website, the visionary and pragmatic Abia Warriors Chairman in conclusion advised the Supporters Club to keep adhering to all the precautionary measures which will help them stay safe.
Abia Warriors Supporters club Chairman, Comr, Ifeanyi Okereke while reacting to the overwhelming gesture of Pastor Emeka Inyama led board thanked them for having their welfare at heart regardless the rough times as a result of the deadly Coronavirus, he went further to reaffirm the Supporters Club unflinching massive support for the team.
The palliatives items made available to the Supporters club includes food items, hand sanitizers, liquid Soap and cash which will help to sustain the vulnerables amongst them.
Present at the epoch making event which took place at the Club Complex in Umuahia includes the Club Secretary, the Vice Chairman, journalist, the Supporters club executives and its members.
