Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Charles Tambe shot in Ibadan

Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Charles Tambe was shot by hoodlums in Ibadan this morning, the sportsbay reports

He has been rushed to University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan for medical attention.

In a statement released by the club’s Sporting Director, Patrick Ngwaogwu on Friday morning in Abuja, he said there was no need for panic as the Abia state club is on top of the situation adding that the goalkeeper will be released as soon as he is treated and regain fitness.

It was gathered that former Shooting Stars, Ifeanyi Ubah,Lobi Stars goal tender went for his morning walk out at about 7am this morning in Apata, area Ibadan where he stays with his family.

Some hoodlums accosted him and collected his wrist watch and handset, and they thereafter shot him on his hand.

It will be recalled that Enyimba midfielder, Dayo Ojo was kidnapped along Aba road recently and was recently released after an unknown ransom was paid.
