How Abia Warriors, Rangers monitor players on break

Nigeria Premier League side, Abia Warriors have devised an ingenious way to keep their players fit pending when the league resumes, the sportsbay reports.

In a chat with the club’s Media officer, Nwosu Chigozie, the players have a training programme which were handed over to them prior to the break.

“The players were given training programmes by the head coach Willy Udube.

“I have a group that the players post 3 minutes video of them engaging in the programme of each day and that’s how we ensure compliances,” he said.

In the same vein, Enugu Rangers distributed training regimes to the players before they left for the break according to the club’s media officer, Norbert Okolie.

He said “every player submitted himself to a body weight test before departure and would be tested on arrival from break. That is the start point of knowing who kept to the regime.”

It will be recalled that the clubs approved a two-week break for the players due the suspension of all football activities in the country by the Nigeria Football Federation.
