Goddosky football club coach, Nduka Edmund has declared that his side is determined to change the landscape of football in Nigeria.
He stated this on the sidelines of the friendly game against FCT league champion, Waco FA recently which was kicked off by the President, Nigeria Union of Journalist, Chris Isiguzo.
Edmund said though they lost 1-0 to the champions, they were able to gain some more experiences as they prepare to navigate their way to the Nigeria National League from the Nationwide League One.
“We are working hard to gain promotion to NNL and from there to NPFL where we will showcase our abilities as an emerging force in Nigerian football.
“We may have lost to FCT champions for the second time, it just shows that we need to work on some aspects of our game,” he said.
In the same vein, Waco FA coach, John Wakili said the game was needed to put the team in shape and prepare them ahead of the new season.
“This is the second time we have played against Goddosky and won but we saw that it was a hard fought victory. We used this game to work on our deficiencies,” he said.
Meanwhile, NUJ president, Chris Isiguzo, Director General NTA Sports 24, Mr Femi Johnson, former Olympian and Technical Director, Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Chika Chukwumerije and host of others have commended the organisers of the national friendly match between FCT league champions, WACO Football Academy and Anambra league champions, Goddosky International Football Club in Abuja.
The organisers through the media pulled out the bigwigs in Nigeria among which are: Director General, NTA Sports 247, Mr femi Johnson, Technical Director, Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Chika Chukwumerije (OLY), foremost player representative, Babawo Mohammad who represented Goddosky FC chairman Godwin Ejike Agbasimelo, FCT FA Board member, Ngozi Eze representing the FCT FA chairman, Kayode Adeniyi former Chairman, FCT SWAN to mention but few.
