New signing Carles Gil goes straight into the Aston Villa squad. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and fellow midfielder Adam Lallana have a chance of being fit.
Burnley v Crystal Palace
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is hoping defensive duo Kieran Trippier and Jason Shackell will be fit. Loan signing Yaya Sanogo could make his Crystal Palace debut.
Leicester City v Stoke City
New signing Andrej Kramaric is in contention for the home side. Full-back Erik Pieters is a doubt but midfielder Steven Nzonzi should be available for Stoke.
Queens Park Rangers v Manchester United
Midfielder Niko Kranjcar has recovered from thigh trouble for QPR. Robin van Persie has a slim chance of playing for the visitors, while Radamel Falcao is pushing for a recall.
Swansea City v Chelsea
Swansea start life without Wilfried Bony after his £28 million move to Manchester City. Thibaut Courtois could return in goal for Chelsea.
Tottenham v Sunderland
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino is likely to welcome back a host of first-team regulars. Jermain Defoe could be handed a Sunderland debut against his former club.
Newcastle v Southampton
Midfielders Mehdi Abeid (foot), Siem de Jong and Gabriel Obertan (both thigh) and Rolando Aarons (hamstring) are all on the comeback trail, but none are expected to return for Newcastle. Victor Wanyama, Morgan Schneiderlin and Toby Alderweireld are amongst those missing for Southampon
West Ham United v Hull City (2:30pm)
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is hoping for a double defensive fitness boost as Winston Reid and Guy Demel push for a return. Sone Aluko and Gaston Ramirez could feature for Hull.
Manchester City v Arsenal (5pm)
Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri faces three to four weeks on the sidelines. Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is likely to return for the Gunners.
