Enyimba, Rangers pick vital wins as Dakkada hold Akwa Utd

Enyimba have secured maximum points following a 3-0 defeat over Wikki Tourist in the rescheduled Match Day 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League at the Enyimba Stadium.

The reigning champions who moved up to 15th position on the table opened the floodgates of goals in the 45th minute through the impressive Stanley Dimgba after a beautiful interchange of passes and as assist by Cyril Olisema to end the first half leading 1-0.

Dauda Madaki eased the pressure on Rangers as he scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute after Ibrahim Olawoyin found him with a through ball among three opposing bodies.

Rangers who have been battling relegation waters have now won its 5th league game to climb out of relegation to occupy the 16th position on 20 points.

At the Nest of Champions, Uyo, it was a classic clash between two clubs from the same state, Akwa United and Dakadda FC.

In the 9th minute, Dakkada drew the first blood in the 9th minute before Ndifreke Effiong equalized in the 30th minute through penalty as the entertaining first half ended 1-1.

However, Akwa United refused to be bullied by a side with less premier league experience as the ever reliant Ndifreke scored in the 89th minute to earn a 2-2 draw.
