Coach Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles manager, may release the list of players for the two 2021 Africa Cup of nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and also Lesotho early next week.
Nigeria will play Benin Republic on Monday, November 11, before playing Lesotho away on Tuesday, November 19.
According to Toyin Ibitoye, the Super Eagles media officer, revealed that barring any change of events, the list of Super Eagles’ players for the games would be made public early next week.
The coach, he said, was putting finishing touches to the players he would use for the matches according to Daily Independent.
“The list will be out early next week but I may not be specific on the very day because the coach is still working on the list and it will be made public early in order for invitations to them,” he said.
Meanwhile, Coach Gernot Rohr is considering luring Fikayo Tomori to the team ahead of the match.
It will be recalled that both Tomori and Tammy Abraham were subjects of debate over their international allegiance until Abraham officially debuted for England in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Bulgaria, while Tomori is still eligible to star for the Super Eagles.
It has been gathered that the coach is considering inviting the player with the hope that he would honour the invite this time to bolster Eagles defence, but a source said there was doubt if he would honour the call as his team mate, Abraham, had finally settled for England.
