Tim Sherwood expects to have an almost fully-fit squad for his first game in charge of Aston Villa. Ryan Shawcross remains out with a back problem for Stoke.
Chelsea v Burnley
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel remains sidelined with a knee injury. Burnley welcome Stephen Ward back into the squad for the first time in two and a half months.
Crystal Palace v Arsenal
Crystal Palace could welcome back captain Mile Jedinak. Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is in line to return from three months out with an ankle injury, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in full training following a groin strain but is unlikely to be rushed back.
Hull City v Queens Park Rangers
Hull are once again without midfielder Mohamed Diame, meaning the Tigers could field the same XI that started last week’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa. QPR welcome back top goalscorer Charlie Austin for the trip.
Sunderland v West Bromwich Albion
Striker Jermain Defoe could return to the Sunderland squad. West Brom defender Jonas Olsson is also pushing for a return.
Swansea v Manchester United
Gylfi Sigurdsson returns for Swansea after a three-match suspension, while Wayne Routledge is also in line to start his first league game for five weeks. Striker Robin van Persie is back to full fitness and is available for Manchester United.
Manchester City v Newcastle United – 6:30pm
Manchester City midfielder James Milner misses out with a knee injury. New £25 million signing Wilfried Bony could make his debut while midfielder Yaya Toure is also available after the African Cup of Nations. Newcastle’s defensive resources are stretched to the limit by injury.
Tottenham v West Ham United – 1:00pm
Harry Kane is expected to return to Tottenham’s starting line-up along with Ryan Mason and Mousa Dembele. West Ham will welcome both Winston Reid and James Collins back into their squad for the London derby.
Everton v Leicester City -3:05pm
Leighton Baines is back after missing three games with a minor knee problem. On-loan centre-back Robert Huth returns to the Leicester squad after being cup-tied for last weekend’s FA Cup fifth-round defeat at Aston Villa.
Southampton v Liverpool – 5:15 pm
Morgan Schneiderlin and Shane Long are available for Southampton. Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling is pushing for a start, but captain Steven Gerrard misses out again with a hamstring injury.
