Akwa United go on Sallah break, announce resumption date

Nigeria Professional football league side, Akwa United have announced the resumption date for the 2019/2020 season after the Eid Fitri celebrations.

In a press statement released on Monday, players are expected to return to training on Monday 19th August, 2019 with the 1st training session scheduled for 8 a.m .

It should be recalled that Akwa United had a mixed 2019 NPFL season under coach Rafael Everton.

The Promise Keepers topped Group B during the regular season and where favorites to win the Playoffs or get a continental ticket at the least.

The Promise Keepers ended the 2018/2019 NPFL abridged league season in 4th position after the play-offs in Lagos.

The Uyo based side is looking forward to making early preparations ahead of the new NPFL season scheduled by the League Management Company LMC to kickoff on 22nd September.
