Super Eagles out of contract chief coach, Stephen Keshi, has said that he would not be answerable to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director, Shaibu Amodu, should the federation stipulates it as one of the conditions in his new contract.
The Big Boss argued that in the organogram of football administration in every other parts of the country, the senior national team head coach comes next to the federation’s president, insisting that the technical director comes a distance fourth after the federation’s General Secretary.
Warning that he would never be answerable to the NFF technical director, Keshi said: “Go and check any federation in the world, after the president of the federation, the next on the line of seniority is the national team head coach. I don’t have to answer to the technical director.
“It is only in Nigeria where most people don’t understand what is going on that people will expect the national team head coach to take order from the technical director. I have worked with technical directors in other countries and I can tell you that they take order from me.
“I tell them what I need from them to do for me. If it is like that in other countries, why should I take order from a technical director who is supposed to be under me in order of hierarchy?” He said.
