Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), has adverse finding in Jarrell Miller’s sample, Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said.
Miller is due to fight IBF, WBA, and WBO champion Joshua on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York. However, this development has put the June 1 match in doubt.
“We have been informed by VADA that there has been an adverse finding in Jarrell Miller’s sample collected on March 20th, 2019, Hearn said on Twitter on Wednesday.
“We are working with all relevant parties and will update with more details soon. AJ’s preparation continues for June 1st at MSG, said Hearn.
Confirming Hearn’s statement in a tweet, Miller’s co-promoter, Dmitry Salita, said Miller is training for the June 1 match, while they sought more information about VADA’s finding.
“We are in the process of obtaining further information about VADA’s finding and will have more to say soon on this developing situation. In the meantime Jarrell continues to train for his June 1 fight against Anthony Joshua, Salita said.
