African Cycling Federation approves Nigeria as Africa Track Cup host

The African Cycling Confederation has approved that Nigeria should host the 2019 Africa Track Cup.

Mohamed Azzam, the President of African Cycling Confederation (CAC), said this on Tuesday in a letter issued to the President of Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN), Giandomenico Massari.

“We received your letter expressing the willingness of CFN  to host the 2019 edition of Africa Track Cup.

” I hereby have the pleasure to confirm to you and your esteemed members of CFN that the CAC welcome that Nigeria host and organise the Africa Cup edition for track in 2019.

”We will communicate with you soon to determine the appropriate dates after reviewing the Union Cyclist International  (UCI) and CAC Calendar for 2019.

” All terms for hosting and organising CAC events will be sent to you,” he said.

Azzam, who is also the Vice Presidentt of UCI,  commended the president of CFN  for its efforts in developing cycling sport in Nigeria and the good results Nigerian teams achieved recently during the 2019 CAC Track African Championships. (NAN)
