Alex Song was critical of Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid’s 2-1 El Clasico defeat to Barcelona on Sunday evening.
The Barca midfielder, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, felt Ronaldo did not offer much despite his 31st-minute leveller as the Madrid giants crashed to their rivals at Camp Nou.
“Apart from the goal I don’t think he did very well tonight,” said Song.
“He was not the great Ronaldo tonight. I didn’t see something special.
“The game wasn’t a great game, neither side played the level you expect tonight and maybe that is why (Ronaldo struggled).”
Jeremy Mathieu headed Barcelona in to the lead in the 19th minute before Ronaldo’s equalizer but Luis Suarez produced a clinical finish just over 10 minutes into the second half to give the Catalan club all three points and a four-point lead over their title rivals.
