Newly promoted Bendel Insurance FC are in high spirit as they prepare for their first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match against Remo stars tomorrow.
The Benin Arsenal returned to the Premier League after spending the last 11 years in the lower division, Nigeria National League (NNL).
The team will be meeting familiar team, Remo Stars who were promoted as well to the NPFL league after the super 8 play off in Aba.
The team Technical Advicer Monday Odigie is confident that the team will leave up to the game.
“You see no body give us the chance that we will qualify to the premier league but thank God we are here.
“This are the players that did the magic with God and the state government on our side.
“So playing Remo Stars is a game of we know ourselves and again this is first game for both of us in the NPFL league,” he said.
He however complained about the lack of rest given to the team after their participation at the Super 8.
“The only problem is that we the newly promoted team were not given time to rest and prepare.
“We just came back last week Friday and we are playing tomorrow Sunday in sagamu but we a team that can stand Remo stars and other team coach,” he said.
Bendel Insurance defeated the Shooting Stars of Ibadan by a goal to nil to secure their place in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).ready
