NNL Super 8: Coach Chukwuma resign after Delta Force poor outing

Delta Force manager,  Chukwuma Agbo has resigned with immediate effect following his failure to lead his team in to the Nigeria Premier League.

The Delta based club at the just concluded Nigeria National League, NNL Super 8 promotion payoff in Aba, Abia state performed woefully where there lost all three matches.

” We had fifteen unbeaten run both in the active league and preseason games against elite clubs in the NPFL and its embarrassing I cannot win a single game when we need it the most. This is the worst moment in my career.

“If the team wins the glory goes to the coach and now that we lost, I must take the responsibility. Therefore, I must resign my position as head coach of Delta Force with immediate effect”.

“Great thanks to the Governor of Delta state Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa,Chairman of the state sports commission, Tonobok Okowa, CEO of the club, Mr. Chidi Okonkwo, the coaching crew, players and fans of the club. I appreciate my stay”.

Delta Force of Asaba lost her first game 3-0 to new NPFL bride Bendel Insurance of Benin, two goals to nothing against 3sc of Ibadan and 2-1 to Remo stars who also return to the elite league.

Agbo argued that the players got it wrong by underrating their opponent thinking their unbeaten run will be no match to them.
