The 2018 FCT Super 4 league has recorded its first wins from Waco Academy and Flomat FC on Monday.
The matches played at the Area 3 playing ground saw Waco Academy defeating Basic Macarana by 3-1 while Flomat FC defeated fan’s favourite, Fosla FC by 1-0 in the second match of the day.
Waco Academy wasted no time to show their intent as two early goals from Nambo Gabriel and Franklin Manami in the 2nd and 9th minutes.
Their opponent, Basic Maracana however reduced the deficit in the 50th minutes through Sule Abraham.
However, Nambo Gabriel completed his brace when his volley shot landed in the back of the net in the 83rd minutes to seal the needed points for the Garki based team.
Similarly, Flomat FC avenged their 1-0 group stage loss to Fosla FC by defeating by the same score line
In a tense match saw both sides taking the game to each other till Ikechukwu Orji broke the deadlock in the 78th minutes.
Basic Maracana who lost the first match 1-3 to Waco Academy will be looking forward to win their first match when they face Flomat FC in the early kick off tie of the match-day 2 by 10am on Wednesday while Fosla FC will be up against Waco Academy later in the day.
Meanwhile, the proprietor of Flomat FC, Olusola Omole is confident that his team will emerge as the best grassroots team in FCT.
“We are so sure of making it. We are going to be the best grassroots team in FCT. We are so confident of winning the league,” he asserted.
