The Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed has admitted that the Super Falcons team will receive their kits today in Abidjan as they preparation for the African Women Nations Cup.
It will be noted that the players were told that their kits were waiting for them in Abidjan shortly before they departed Nigeria on Tuesday all dressed in different attires which did not show that they were a team going for international competition.
Sanusi said Nigerians are wrong to say that the NFF neglect the Super Falcons adding that the kits for the Falcons will arrive Abidjan on Thursday.
“I think it will be wrong for anybody to say the NFF neglect the Super Falcons especially those who are opportuned to see where they were camped in Lagos. It was was a very marvelous place and those who saw their training saw them in Nigeria jersey,” he stated.
“So, it’s very wrong for anybody to say they have been abandoned.”
By tomorrow (Thursday), the head of technical is going to take the kits to them because we have cleared the kits in Ports.”
Super Falcons were camped in Epe, Lagos in preparation ahead of the African Women Nations Cup finals in Ghana.
Falcons will play their first match against their perennial rivals South Africa on the 18th November 2018.
