FCT will participate in the National Sports Festival – Dilichukwu

The Director of Sports, Federal Capital Territory, Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma has reiterated that the FCT will be participating in the upcoming 19th National Sports Festival.

In a chat with Daily Trust, she expressed her hope that the FCT will not just participate as the host but will want to win the Festivals.

“I won’t be able to tell you anything now but you don’t rule it out we are the host so we are expecting and hoping we are going to participate.”

“We are always ready, we are already in an open camp, our children are training every day, and we have made buses available for easy transportation.”

 “In FCT we hope to host and win, she noted.

She further spoke on the newly inaugurated FCT boards’ chairmen who are determined to reposition sports in the nations’ capital by keeping the youths busy.

“We will seat down to map out programs and activities that will really help us to keep the youths of FCT busy, because what we do is to make sure that the youths don’t go astray both male and female, she said.”

The Festival is billed from December 6th -16th 2018 and will feature 37 sports with 11,638 athletes and officials expected to participate in the biennial tournament.
