Gianluigi Buffon’s wage packet at PSG has been revealed by L’Équipe’ who believes the legendary stopper reportedly taking home €4.92m per year.
Just as Lev Yashin, Gordon Banks and Dino Zoff all went down in history as legendary goalkeepers in their time, Buffon will surely do the same when he evenrually hangs up his boots.
Now 40, it seems that nothing can stand in the Italian’s way, with the aforementioned source suggesting he is still more than earning a living out of playing football.
The report claims that after tax, Buffon nets €4.92m per year, which equates to €410,000 per month or a shade under €95,000 per week.
After leaving Juventus at the end of last season, Buffon signed a one-year deal at the Parc des Princes, with the option for another.
Despite the need to tread carefully regarding FFP, the Parisians spared no expense in bringing one of the most experienced active players in world football to the French capital.
Buffon has already appeared three times for his new club in pre-season friendlies, with his official debut pencilled in for August 4 in the Trophée des champions.
