La Liga giants, Barcelona are not giving up on signing Chelsea’s Willian and have tabled the third bid for winger for around £55 million, according to ‘Sky Sports’.
The Catalan club are known to have been interested in the play for some time, and have already had two bids rejected by the ‘Blues’ in their quest to bring him to the Camp Nou.
Willian represented Brazil at the World Cup in Russia over the summer, and despite his team’s lacklustre performances he was personally praised.
Fellow Brazilian Philippe Couthinho made the switch from the Premier League to Barcelona in January, as he left Liverpool for a fee that could rise to £142 million.
In the case of the 29 year-old Chelsea player, the amount will not reach that level due to his age, but his club have remained resolute so far in the face of Barcelona’s advances.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are also facing the loss of Belgian duo Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard to fellow La Liga giants Real Madrid, so will have to make a decision on which of these stars to let go given the limited time they will have to replace them as the transfer window in England shuts on 9th August.
