The 19-year old newly crowned World Cup champion, Kylian Mbappe has the world at his feet following a very impressive showing in Russia.
His blistering pace terrified the defence coupled with his composure in front of goal. He is surely going places at the current rate he is playing.

1. Trial at Chelsea
In 2011 Kylian Mbappe had a trial at Chelsea Football Club. The Blues used him in an academy match against Charlton. They also gave him a personalized shirt with ‘Kylian’ on the back with the number 10.
The 11-years old Mbappe played alongside Tammy Abraham and Jeremie Boga and they won 8-0. According to reports, they could have got the striker for £14,000.
2. Ronaldo was his idol
Cristiano Ronaldo is Mbappe’s hero from childhood. He was a huge fan of him as a boy. His room was covered with many photos of the Portuguese star. Back in 2016, Mbappe’s father told that his son used to “spend hours watching videos of Ronaldo on the internet”. Last season Mbappe played against his idol in the Champions League in the PSG vs Real Madrid.
3. He donated his World Cup earnings
Mbappe has impressed the footballing world with an incredible move. He is donating his World Cup earnings to the Priers de Cordes association because he does not feel he should be paid to play for France. This charity aims to organize sports activities for children with disabilities.
He earned around £17,000 per game. Mbappe is a patron of the association and he donated everything he earned. The donation will also include the reported £265,000 bonus for winning the 21st FIFA World Cup.
4. Mbappe has a Cameroonian father and an Algerian mother
Mbappe’s father, Wilfried, hails from Cameroon. Wilfried is Mbappe’s agent and also a football coach. Mbappe was born in Paris. Although he has Cameroonian and Algerian roots, Mbappe has decided to play for France.
5. He loves another sport other than football
Football may be his sport of choice, but Mbappe is also a big fan of tennis. He played the sport when he was younger, and his favourite player is fellow Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
6. Despite his new found fame and success, Mbappe lives a simple lifestyle
He splits his time between living in a modest family home, and in the Monaco ‘Louis II’ academy dormitories.
