Atletico Madrid striker, Diego Costa is set the first leg of the Europa League clash against English side, Arsenal on April 24 due to an injury sustained.
The club confirmed that the Spaniard suffered a hamstring injury in their second leg Europa quarter-final game against Sporting Lisbon, Thursday and are yet to give an update of when he could return to action.
The Spain international underwent tests in Madrid on Friday, which have revealed a hamstring injury to his left thigh.
Atletico Madrid will clash with Arsenal for the first time in a Europe competition at the Emirates Stadium and the inclusion of Diego Costa who is familiar with the London club could be a boost to the club, having come up against them on several occasions during his two -year spell at Chelsea.
Costa has notched in six goals for the Los Rojiblancos in all competitions since rejoining them in January.
