AC Milan Slam Claims They Want Antonio Conte As Head Coach

AC Milan director of football Massimiliano Mirabelli has rubbished claims they are working on a deal to bring Chelsea coach Antonio Conte to the San Siro.

The Italian has enjoyed plenty of success since taking over at the Blues at the beginning of last season, leading the team to the English Premier League title at the first time of asking.

Meanwhile, current Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has struggled to impress, even after the Rossoneri’s significant summer spending, leading to claims the Serie A giants are searching for a new tactician.

Mirabelli, though, insists that is not the case, telling Radio Rossonera: “We already have a manager and we are not thinking of Conte nor about other managers.”

What Milan and Chelsea do have in common, though, is an interest in Torino striker Andrea Belotti, and Mirabelli has confirmed their interest in signing the forward.

“Belotti? Everyone knows we wanted to sign him. He is a strong player and an AC Milan fan. Maybe he will join one day,” he added.
