Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has paid tribute to his late father, Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix, with a photograph of the pair together posted on the Manchester United manager’s Instagram account.
The former goalkeeper and coach died on Sunday at the age of 79.
His club, Os Belenenses, announced in a statement: “Os Belenenses CF have been made aware of the passing of Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix, club goalkeeper from 1968 until 1974, team coach in the 1970-71 and 1982-83 campaigns, and a much loved figure at the club.
“During this difficult time, the Belenense family and Os Belenenses CF sends its warmest condolences to his family, especially his wife and son, Jose Mourinho.”
Felix Mourinho made over 250 appearances for Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses, and also played once for the Portugal national team. He enjoyed a 20-year coaching career.\

As a player, Mourinho Felix won the Taca de Portugal in the 1964-65 season while on the books of Vitoria Setubal.
They also paid their respect with a club statement that said: “Vitoria FC laments the passing of their former player, coach and executive, Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix, and offers its deepest condolences to his family.”
