Eden Hazard has ruled out making a summer switch to Paris Saint Germain because he wants to leave Chelsea on a high note, Goal report.
Jose Mourinho placed the Belgian international in the same bracket as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi after a string of sensational displays back in the 2014/15 season.
Unfortunately, the wing-wizard endured a woeful campaign this year and he failed to get off the mark in the Premier League until the middle of April.
The 25-year-old’s stock has plummeted as a result but, whilst Real Madrid no longer appear interested in acquiring his services, he continues to be linked with PSG.
However, Hazard remains adamant that he can’t leave Chelsea on a sour note because, if he ever does part company with the Blues, he wants to bow out in a blaze of glory.
“I have a contract until 2020. I don’t want to finish like this” he told Telefoot. “If I have to leave, I must do it like a boss. Like I did in Lille.
Hazard is currently gearing up for the European Championships with Belgium and, in the absence of Vincent Kompany, he wants to captain his country all the way to the final.
The playmaker added “My dream is to reach the semi-finals against France, and if we win there’s no reason we can’t win the final.”
